Urban Waters 2025

We’re happy to invite you for the Urban Waters 2025 - Dance- & Performance Project, happening this June in Berlin!
Following a beautiful first edition in 2023, Urban Waters is returning for a second time as part of the Global Water Days that will be running at >100 places in Europe, America, Asia and Africa!
This time we create a site-specific dance/performance/installation at Holzmarkt Berlin exploring once more the connection between dance, urban architecture and water - reflecting on how bodies and cities coexist with nature and which role water plays in our urban environment.
We would love for you to be a part of it.
What exactly?
One week of dancing, sweating, moving, playing, acting and performance rehearsals with Alexandros Greco Anastasiadis (choreography & co-direction) and Florian Hoffmeier (direction) for anybody enthusiastic about movement, dance and performing.
When & where?
Research Workshop: Sat, May 3rd, 2025 10am-2pm @ Holzmarkt - The Studio
Rehearsals & Performance Week: June 9th–14th 2025 @ Holzmarkt Berlin, approx. 5–8pm (exact times tbc)
Public Presentation: Sat, June 14th, 3-5 pm
The project is open to all people enthusiastic about dance, performing, acting, moving - preferably with some dance experience. Please note that as a sociocultural project, the participation is voluntary and without financial compensation. You can also participate in the performance week without the preparatory workshop.
If you have any scheduling conflicts during the project period, feel free to reach out. We’re happy to find flexible solutions where possible.
